My Fun Time

Children are my fun. Innocence, love, passion, and joy are the world of kids, which I admire and long to live out. Exploration and wonder is the twin identity of a child. I love these and I try to bring out these from within me through the time I spend with the sweet hearts.

Nagaland Ministry

IGL’s dream of extending Vision 2000 movement to Northeastern parts of India got a kick start in Nagaland with the initiation of the Youth wing called Y21 (Youth for the 21st century) in a conference held from 23rd to 26th of February 2009. This first everY21 movement for Northeast was inaugurated with the participation of 140 young delegates from across the state. At the end of the conference, all of the participants committed themselves to reflect the Gospel message by being an open Bible wherever they are for the Kingdom of God. A group of youngsters came forward to be cross-cultural missionaries.

Following the conference a team of youth ministered to Zhadima (My village) people. The team organized a concert and through that shared the word of God. Fantastic singers including 2008 Nagaland Idol who is my cousin graced the occasion through their presence and their skills for the glory of God.
On February 23, 09 a pastor’s conference was held at Dimapur, Nagaland. Over 42 delegates from 19 different churches, consisting of 14 pastors, 12 evangelists and 16 Women leaders participated in the occasion. This conference truly gave the impetus for the next level of training, church planting and expanding church activity for the glory of God and for the extension of His Kingdom.

Sunday Church Visits

There are numerous churches for IGL in Tamil Nadu. Almost every Sunday I pay visit to one of the churches. It gives me a great opportunity to meet people from different walks of life especially those in villages. Many are ignorant and illiterate people and yet, their faith in Jesus is second to none. I enjoy preaching, praying and spending time with them during the Sundays.

The only setback I face during my visit is language. However, I’m thankful to the Lord for enabling me to learn Tamil language at a tremendous pace.

Sharon Hostel for Women

I’m also incharge of taking care 73 community college students in IGL’s hostel. These students come from diverse backgrounds, culture, language, caste, class and religion. Most of them are first generation learners aspiring to become nurse or lab technician or teachers. It’s wonderful that God had placed me over such a bunch of students to nurture them in Christ Jesus. It is my desire that all of them be saved and unified as one single entity called church regardless of their backdrop. Today, I see a remarkable transformation already happening with in this group as many have begun to devote considerable time to pray and confess their sins.

In spite of the good environment in Sharon, some of the students face immense challenge in learning their lessons in English. For others its family concerns that overwhelms them. Whatever may be their hurdles and challenges I comfort and encourage them with the word of God. I have made most of the struggling lot to see the ‘I CAN THROUGH CHRIST’ to achieve rather that be defeated due to the ‘I cant’ attitude.
Pray that all of these 73 students be save by Christ Jesus and be bold in the promises of Jesus for their lives. I presently do character study of women from the Bible for these students.

Out reach to college students

Over 30 medical college students gather in IGL’s Seeragapadi church every Wednesday for a Bible study. I meet them every Wednesday whenever I am available in Salem. I truly believe, it’s both a privilege and an opening that God provided me with to reach and teach the future elites of the Society. Pray that more students be reached as well as discipled for Christ.

Youth for the 21st century

This year it’s going to be a great blessing for the people of North East. The first ever IGL’s youth meeting is to be held from 23rd to 26th of February. The meeting will bring all the North East youth under one banner to learn, to be equipped, and to be sent out for Christ. The IGL’s president has consented to attend the meeting in order to challenge, inspire and prepare the next generation of Christian leaders. Our hope is that the young leaders from a cross section of the church will catch new visions for themselves and for their ministry.
